What is Tchala Pa m?
Tchala Pa m is a digital companion for the Haitian Tchala tradition. Type or speak a dream symbol — water, snake, money, a deceased relative — and the app shows the numbers associated with it in the traditional Tchala.
Tchala is a centuries-old part of Haitian culture: a way to reflect on dreams by connecting them to numbers. Tchala Pa m brings that practice into a clean, modern app.
Are these official lottery numbers?
No. The numbers shown in Tchala Pa m are traditional cultural references — they are not lottery picks, predictions, or official borlette numbers. The app is for reflection and entertainment, not gambling advice.
How do I look up a dream?
Open the app and type a word that describes your dream (for example: water, snake, fire) into the chat input, then tap send. Mama Keke will respond with the traditional meaning and the numbers tied to that symbol.
You can also tap the microphone icon and speak your dream out loud in Kreyòl, French, or English — the app will transcribe it and look up the symbols.
How do I change the language?
Open the side menu (top-left), tap Settings, then choose your preferred language under Language. The app supports Kreyòl, French, and English. Your choice is remembered for next time.
The microphone isn't working — what should I do?
Tchala needs microphone permission to transcribe what you say. On iPhone: Settings → Tchala Pa m → Microphone → toggle ON. On Android: long-press the app icon → App info → Permissions → Microphone → Allow.
If permission is already granted, make sure no other app is using the mic (a phone call, voice memo, FaceTime), then close and reopen Tchala.
Why doesn't audio play when I open my dream?
Most mobile browsers block audio from playing until you've interacted with the page. Tap anywhere on the screen once, then try playing the response again. Also check that your phone isn't on silent mode and that your media volume is turned up.
Do I need to sign in to use Tchala?
Signing in is optional for basic lookups, but it's required if you want to save your dream history, sync across devices, or receive personalized responses. You can sign in with Apple, Google, or email from the menu.
How do I delete my account?
Open the side menu → Settings → scroll to the bottom → tap Delete Account. The deletion is immediate and permanent — your data is removed and you'll be signed out. If you change your mind later, you can sign up again as a new user.
Is my data private?
Yes. Tchala Pa m doesn't sell your data. Voice recordings are sent securely to the Palefò speech engine for transcription only and are not retained after the response is generated. Account data is encrypted at rest and only used to give you a personalized experience inside the app.
Does Tchala work offline?
Tchala needs an internet connection to reach the dream-symbol database and the speech engine. If you've used a particular symbol before, it may be cached for a short time, but new lookups require a connection.
